The priya In Me

Back in the early 1930's. The first Hindi feature film was made. And back then, penonton akan datang tengok wayang more than once. Not twice or trice, but some will go up to 6 times. Mula-mula they'll come to hear the music. The music so haunting, they want to listen again. Thanks to the multi-talented composers and the ones that made it happened - the playback singers. Then they'll come to see the dancing, the choreography was so cheerful and beautiful they want to see it again, then they'll come again to focus on the dialogue in the film, the script was so deep they want to memorize them all. And the films were played in the cinema for one year straight.

Back then it was World War 2. And the only entertainment these runaways have was watching films made by filmmakers that was also an escapist. Films make them forget about their fears and hunger. That was the magic about it. And trust me, filem yang boleh buat kau nangis teresak-esak bukan cerita melayu, cerita orang puteh atau cerita korea. Tapi cerita hindustan.

I've always appreciate the hindi films, especially their music. No music is more beautiful than hindi music, and tamil songs too. I enjoy both. My great grandfather was an indian man. So I always had it in me, the indian culture has always been my cup of tea. Sometimes I go sightseeing on deities at the temple and just come to listen to the beautiful sounds from the Nadaswaram, alongside the Thavil. Its very beautiful, I swear.

I don't think you understand how much I love studying cultures. I might not have the time and finance to study much now, but the time will come where i'd travel the world to experience different vibes.
Thats the life I want and so I must.
